Kakek bernama Kasbi berusia 98 tahun tersebut terbaring dalam sebuah kamar yang hanya dibatasi lemari kayu kusam.
Tulang punggungnya terasa sakit untuk duduk. Sementara kakinya kaku apabila digunakan berjalan.
Dilansir dari TribunStyle, Mbah Kasbi mengatakan badannya sulit digerakkan sejak sembilan bulan terakhir.
Dirinya pernah tiga kali terjatuh saat berusaha berjalan ke belakang rumah untuk buang air.
Selama berjam-jam mbah Kasbi hanya terlentang di lantai menunggu pertolongan dari tetangga yang lewat.
Hingga kemudian saat itu beruntung putra keduanya datang dan menolong. Terkadang saat jatuh kepalanya terbentur tiang rumah.
“Mau jalan pelan-pelan tapi jatuh di depan lemari. Ya hanya tergeletak diam di lantai enggak pakai apa-apa”
“Sudah tiga kali saya jatuh sampai kepala saya terbentur tiang rumah.
Biasanya kalau begitu teriak minta tolong kalau ada bunyi kendaraan
lewat,“ katanya.

“Saya tinggal sendiri, kalau mau buang air besar atau kecil ya cuma bisa geser saja di samping ranjang,” ujar Mbah Kasbi.
Mbah Kasbi mengatakan sudah sembilan bulan tak mandi lantaran tidak bisa beranjak dari kasur.
“Saya pengennya itu mandi. Sudah sembilan bulan sama sekali tidak
tersentuh air. Tapi mau bagaimana, keadaan saya begini,” ucap Mbah
Kasbi.
Ada ember dan baskom berbau tak sedap yang diletakkan di bawah ranjang yang biasa beliau gunakan.
Mbah Kasbi memiliki 4 orang anak, 3 di antaranya berada di luar kota.
Sementara anak keduanya tinggal dengan anak dan istri di desa lain.
Meski hanya berbeda desa, Mbah Kasbi tidak tahu dimana alamat anaknya tersebut tinggal.
Anak keduanya setiap hari pukul 09.00 WIB datang mengantar sebungkus
makanan yang diletakkan di atas kasur di samping Mbah Kasbi.
Namun setelah itu lantas pergi dan mbah Kasbi kembali sendirian. Dulu anak keduanya tinggal dengan Mbah Kasbi.
Namun semenjak ayahnya mulai sakit-sakitan mereka memilih tinggal di
rumah yang berbeda dan meninggalkan ayahnya hidup sendirian.
“Saya sendiri tidak tahu mengapa mereka tidak mau tinggal dengan saya,” katanya Mbah Kasbi pasrah.
Sementara itu, anak pertama Mbah Kasbi tinggal di Tulungagung, ketiga di Banten dan terakhir di Tangerang.
Tinggal sendirian dan hanya dapat berbaring di kasur, Mbah Kasbi merasa
sedih setiap kali malam tiba. Harapan Mbah Kasbi hanya ingin berkumpul
dengan anak-anaknya.
“Nelangsanya kalau malam, sudah sepi. Harapan saya semoga bisa berkumpul dengan anak anak saya,” ujar Mbah Kasbi.
Usia renta, sakit dan hidup sendirian membuat para tetangga Mbah Kasbi iba.
Beberapa dari mereka terkadang memberi makanan dan membantu membersihkan rumah yang sudah teramat kotor.
Namun niat baik itu dipandang berbeda oleh anak keduanya yang menilai
tetangga tersebut terlalu ingin ikut campur dengan urusan keluarganya.
“Kita kan kasihan sama Mbah Kasbi. Kadang kasih makan, kadang kita bantu bersihkan rumahnya”
"Tapi anaknya marah dan bilang jangan terlalu kepo ngurusin rumah tangga
orang,” ujar tetangga Kasbi yang enggan menyebutkan namanya.
Sehingga membuat para tetangga itu tak lagi berani membantu banyak.
“Jadi sekarang kami tidak berani lagi nyapu kasih bersih. Kalau ngasih makan masih kita lakukan,” lanjut tetangga tersebut.
Sebelum terbaring sakit, Mbah Kasbi bekerja sebagai penabuh gamelan dan penarik becak.
