Arab Saudi mengumumkan penutupan 24 jam di semua bagian kota suci Mekkah dan Madinah, berlaku sejak Kamis (2/4/2020) hingga pemberitahuan lebih lanjut.



Dilansir dari Arab News, Juru Bicara Kementerian Dalam Negeri Arab Saudi Kolonel Talal al-Shalhoub mengatakan, keputusan itu diambil untuk meningkatkan langkah pencegahan terhadap penyebaran virus corona.
Jam Malam
Jam malam juga telah berlaku di semua bagian Mekkah dan Madinah, kecuali untuk mereka yang bekerja di sektor swasta atau pemerintah yang sebelumnya dibebaskan dari kebijakan itu.
Penduduk dewasa di Mekkah dan Madinah hanya diizinkan meninggalkan rumah mereka dalam keadaan darurat, seperti perawatan kesehatan dan membeli persediaan makanan.
Syaratnya, aktivitas itu hanya boleh dilakukan di sekitar distrik dari pukul 06.00 sampai 15.00 waktu setempat.
Jika terpaksa harus keluar dengan kendaraan roda empat, hanya diperbolehkan mengangkut satu orang penumpang dan sebisa mungkin membatasi kontak manusia.
“Sebuah mekanisme akan segera dikerahkan tentang cara menggunakan layanan perbankan dan mesin ATM sesuai dengan arahan Otoritas Moneter Arab Saudi, Kementerian Dalam Negeri, dan Kementerian Kesehatan,” kata Al-Shalhoub dikutip dari Kompas.com.
Semua kegiatan komersial di Mekkah dan Madinah harus dihentikan, kecuali untuk apotek, supermarket, pompa bensin, dan layanan perbankan.
Aplikasi Online

Al-Shalhoub juga mendorong warga untuk menggunakan aplikasi online guna memesan makanan dan persediaan bahan makanan.
Menurut dia, sejak jam malam diberlakukan di dua kota suci itu, hanya sedikit warga yang melanggar aturan tersebut.
“Kementerian Dalam Negeri tidak akan menoleransi mereka yang tidak mematuhi peraturan jam malam dan menunjukkan pembangkangan secara terbuka di media sosial, siapa pun mereka,” kata Al-Shalhoub.
Langkah ini dilakukan seiring bertambahnya jumlah kasus infeksi di Mekkah dengan 48 kasus dan 46 kasus di Madinah.
Total Kasus Positif Corona 1.885
Sementara itu, Juru Bicara Kementerian Kesehatan Mohammed al-Abd al-Aly mengumumkan adanya 165 kasus baru pada Rabu (2/4/2020), sehingga total kasus positif mencapai 1.885.
Al-Aly juga mengumumkan tambahan lima kasus kematian baru, sehingga jumlah total korban meninggal mencapai 21, sedangkan 328 pasien dinyatakan sembuh.
“Langkah-langkah pencegahan yang diambil oleh Kerajaan harus dipertahankan, karena mereka telah membantu kita semua menjaga jumlah kita rendah. Kita tidak ingin orang tua atau muda kita menderita,” kata Al-Abd Al-Aly. .
“Tak ada komunitas yang kebal. Virus itu bisa saja berada dalam tahap inkubasi dan gejalanya dapat mulai muncul nanti,” tambahnya.
Minta Tunda Persiapan Haji
Menteri Haji dan Umrah Mohammed Saleh Benten pada Selasa (1/4/2020) meminta umat Islam menunda persiapan untuk ibadah haji tahunan yang dijadwalkan pada akhir Juli karena pandemi virus corona.
Arab Saudi sebelumnya telah memberlakukan jam malam di tiga kota pentingnya, yaitu Riyadh, Mekkah, dan Madinah, selama 21 hari dimulai pada 23 Maret 2020.
Akses keluar masuk di ketiga kota itu juga telah ditutup sepenuhnya, disusul dengan pembatasan perjalanan di 13 provinsi lainnya.
